First of all everyone knows a red-eye is tomato juice in beer yes? If not, well then that's what it is. btw - for extra Louisiana *umph* serve with lemon and oysters on the half shell. Cheap beer (don't waste the good stuff folks - I'm talking schlitz, PBR, coors, etc) Tomato Juice Tabasco Sauce Vodka (or if you're me your weapon of choice is tequila) Pour a chilled glass roughly 1/4 to 1/3 with cold tomato juice. Add beer until just near the top (leave an inch or so room). Top off with 1-2 shots of vodka or tequilla, a squeeze of lemon (optional) and a couple of hits of tabasco. You *shouldn't* have to stir it. Now for da oysters: The rare few times I've tried to gulp down said oysters I did it with a bit of beer with tomato juice in the shell and large amounts of tabasco. No I didn't chew. Yes I did swallow. *grin* Spicy red-eye also goes really well with crawfish (don't suck da heads - toss 'em in da pot for gumbo later), catfish, aligator and snake. ***** For an excellent and time proven hangover remedy mix beer as above but toss an extra shot of tequila or vodka and 1 raw egg. If you can keep that down you're not really hung over
